The bedside lamp is where the brass-to-stone joint is most visible, so it is the piece we finish most slowly.

Base
Turned from a single alabaster block. The bottom is felted; the weight sits low so it cannot be knocked over easily.

Brass collar threaded into the stone with a fibre washer — no adhesive, so the lamp can be serviced.

Linen shade on a brass spider; 110V version uses the same shade with a different lamp holder.
