Details that matter
An 800 mm alabaster bowl, 320 mm deep, with six lamps hidden above the rim so the inside of the stone is what lights the room.

Uplight, not downlight
Lamps sit above the rim facing up; the bowl reflects light off its inner face, which gives a soft indirect spread and no glare at eye level.

Weight and fixing
18 kg in a 0.40 cbm crate, three-point suspension. The bowl is turned from one block, so there is no joint at the bottom.
