Details that matter
An 800 mm ring of 24 narrow alabaster panels set radially, so the ring reads as fine crystal rather than heavy stone.

Radial cut
Each panel is cut on a taper so the joints converge toward the centre of the ring. The 15 mm panel width is what gives the snowflake read from below.

Brass ring
The 24 panels sit in a folded brass channel, not glued: the channel holds the stone and carries the load.
